Bowie
The Bowie Lady Rabbits won a tough five-set match at Jacksboro on Tuesday night.
The Lady Rabbits came back to win the final two sets to win 3-2 in a back and forth match.
Coming off a loss to Henrietta to start the second round of district play, Bowie knew it had to bounce back against the Lady Tigers. Playing on the road this time, the Lady Rabbits did not know how much tougher the match would be from the first meeting which they won in straight sets.
The first set saw Bowie take control early, winning the competitive set 25-21 while leading for most of it.
The next two sets were even more competitive as both went past the 25 point mark and into extra-point territory. Unfortunately, the Lady Rabbits could not pull out a win in either set two or three. Jacksboro won with scores 26-24 and 28-26 to take a 2-1 lead.
Bowie needed to come out for set four ready to turn things around or else the team was threatening to fold over if things started bad. The Lady Rabbits instead won the most one-sided set of the match, winning easily 25-15 to force a fifth and final set.
Despite just winning easily and having momentum, Bowie knew set five is a different beast than any of the previous ones in the match. With it being the first to 15 instead of 25, every lead seemed multiplied as no point could be shook off as unimportant.
The Lady Rabbits thankfully were able to pull off the closest set win of the match for them in the final set, winning 15-12 to secure the win 3-2.

Nocona
The Nocona Lady Indians won their home district opener on Tuesday night with a dominant straight set win against Alvord.
The Lady Indians made quick work of the Lady Bulldogs to move to 2-0 in district after starting district with another straight set win against Poolville last week. Nocona won with set scores 25-10, 25-6 and 25-12.
Bren Fenoglio led the team with three blocks while Ava Johnson was second with two. Aubree Kleinhans had a team high eight digs in the back row.

Saint Jo vs Prairie Valley
The Saint Jo Lady Panthers won at Prairie Valley on Tuesday night to start off the second round of district play.
The Lady Panthers won 3-1 against a Lady Bulldogs team that played much better than the first match.
Saint Jo had not dropped a set through the first round of district play, winning with relative ease against the four other teams.
Prairie Valley was more prepared this time and spurred on by their home fans.
The Lady Bulldogs gave the Lady Panthers their first set loss of district early on, winning the first set 26-24 to go up 1-0.
Prairie Valley even had a lead about midway through set two, but Saint Jo woke up and started playing better. Unfortunately for the Lady Bulldogs, once the lead was lost the mistakes started to happen and the Lady Panthers started to pull away.
After Saint Jo won set two 25-19 to tie the match up at 1-1, the Lady Panthers dominated set three 25-6 and Prairie Valley could not recover. Saint Jo won set four 25-14 to win the match 3-1.

Forestburg vs Bellevue
The Forestburg Lady Horns won in straight sets at Bellevue on Monday night.
The Lady Horns won 3-0 against a young Lady Eagle team they were playing for the third time this season.
Forestburg won the first two sets with little difficulty 25-13 and 25-14, but like the first match way back in August, Bellevue made set three interesting.
It went to extra points past 25 as neither team could pull ahead. Finally, the Lady Horns did after the sixth extra point, winning the set 29-27 and the match 3-0.

Missing scores
Gold-Burg did not play a game earlier this week.
